I also cannot turn the electricity off in the power room, but maybe it is not supposed to be turned off.

I have a score of 2900 with 3 rabbits (secrets) and 19 airplanes (one of which I purchased with the 3 coins).

I hope someone posts a list of the locations of the 20 airplanes because I can't do anything else.

There is a place in the water in front of Lara, and I think slightly to her left where she can stand in the water. There is a slope there that Lara can run and jump onto. Then immediately backflip to the slope behind that and jump forward with a right curve onto the ledge in front of the cave with the emerald dragon.

Go to the back wall right side cave building. You reach this either by the underwater cave gate entrance or by going behind the pagoda building's garden and through the ancient building corridors to get to the inside cave. Go to the back wall cave doorway entrance, and the place for the figurine is there. Then the level ends.

Nad, your post #9 is nonsense! You completely misunderstood my post about the 2 phases (maybe a translation error).

Phase 1 is the flying demon. Phase 2 is the crawling bug. I merely mentioned which weapons worked best for me. Any weapon can be used. My discussion of 2 phases had absolutely NOTHING to do with the 2 endings. I merely wrote all of my comment in that same post at that time. Those comments were not linked in meaning.

Going through the doors is the suicide ending of Lovecraft's poem, but the valley ending matches the cat's dialogues and the title of the level.

No, you would just be wasting valuable ammo needed for the later levels. Just keep going up to the trapdoor and ladder that leads to the palace. There will be a battle there with centaurs and probably that guy also. He is up there in version 9, but I don't think he showed up there when I played version 3 first.

You do not need to kill every enemy in this game unless that gives you pleasure.

I played version 3 too originally and made all the same mistakes. But you are making Youtube videos. If you put the mistakes in your videos, then they will be laughed at next year!

Of course, if your intention is merely to show all the bugs and cheat moves, then so be it.

If you have 2 divine rubies in the start of the "Fortress of Thoraban" level or 2 golden figurines in the "Gardens of Yin" level after going through the underwater gate into the cave, then you can go to the end of the level directly without playing over 80-90% of each level (missing secrets, pickups, etc.). This was Neltharion's mistake which he corrected.

Remember this game was NOT properly beta tested. Neltharion released version 1 on July 1 to get players like us to be unwitting beta testers! He should have first completed the game in TEN 1.9 and then betatested it. TEN 1.9 had already been released.

    It's a mistake.

I'm not sure what you are trying to do. You get to the cat by the stairway that opens when the glass blockage goes away, and this window is only for getting the emerald dragon.

    There are no shortcuts here.

Do NOT pick up the cog and party access card in the area above where the cat is. They are game design mistakes (later removed) that cause inventory problems (and ways to bypass large parts of levels) in ALL later levels of the game in versions 1-6.

You also should NOT have picked up the cog in the back of the church on the ground -- same problem.

The correct 3 cogs to pick up are: 1) behind the fence near the first cat where the true party access card is; 2) in the cellar where one of the levers for the water puzzle is; and 3) in the infinite city building after visiting the cat party. This is true for ALL versions of the game.

Although you can get the motorcycle through the gate into the inner area, you should not. That is actually an unintended, show-off way by going over sidewalk barriers that were supposed to keep the player from doing so. It is not possible without illegal moves in later versions of the game. The motorcycle is not needed in the Celaphais lever for anything. It is just a toy for players who like to ride cycles.

You need the motorcycle in the "Enchanted Woods" level to complete that level because the road slopes are too steep after the church and graveyard.

There is a button in the hut above the waterfall that opens the adjacent room with the motorcycle.

Note: You don't need the motorcycle in the "Celaphais" level in version 9 because Neltharion changed the road barriers to prevent taking the cycle into the start or inner regions of the level. In version 1 of "TR Ex Oblivione" you could ride the motorcycle nearly everywhere in the "Celaphais" level.

Download version 9 and import your last good save from version 8 into version 9. You may need to import a final save from the prologue level instead which is also a better choice because the savegame bug stores the bug cache bits in succeeding saves. The game engine datafiles for the first 2 levels are the same in both versions. The next level, "Sarkomand", was updated for version 9, and version 8 saves will not work for "Sarkomand".

Version 9 has no savegame bug problems. I played the entire game in version 9. No savegame "Empty Slot" bugs were ever reported for the first prologue level.

Version 10 uses the new TEN engine, but it has hardly been played by anyone. That version could have new bugs that Neltharion would be unaware of.

    Kapil4417037,

There is very little help on trle.net for TR Ex Oblivione. This forum has much more help on all levels.

Look at posts 40-43 above for a start. You will need to get to the next area after the door from the tree lever. Go through the fence by the stairs, and find doors to open, and jump over floating ramps to get to a jumpswitch. The rest should become clear as you go on.

    ------

I know you are playing an early version as I did. But your videos will be on the internet into the future. ALL NEW players will start with version 10. My comments on Tyrrhia in post 21 of that thread will work in version 1 as well! You may get critical comments on Youtube for the differences as to why players can't do what you did. The jump shortcut you did at time 50:15 of your video for Tyrrhia today no longer works. The correct way has always worked from version 1 onwards. That is why I made comments at the end of the Tyrrhia thread in this forum.

There were no other apparent significant jump or movement differences among versions 1 and 9 after Tyrrhia until the end of the game.
